NORM SCOTT
1931–2008
Norm was a member of the Westbury branch for over thirty years. He helped reform the branch in 1965. He held positions of President, Secretary, Treasurer, Branch Delegate from 1975 to 1978, and Patron. He was awarded Life Membership for services rendered in 1997. From 1978 to 1984 Norm was Treasurer of the N.T.F.A., holding many other positions on committees at Association level. The N.T.F.A. awarded Norm with Life Membership for services rendered in 1991. Norm was a founding member of the Fresh Water Anglers Council of Tasmania and was the Inland Fisheries Northern Associate Commissioner from 1984 to 1996. Norm was a tireless worker, working on the Four Springs, Brushy Lagoon and Currie Dam projects, to name but a few. He gave many voluntary hours service and will be remembered as a stalwart of angling in Tasmania and the N.T.F.A. in particular.
