Ragwort Weekend

Our Ragwort weekend was successfully undertaken last Saturday/Sunday despite pretty average conditions across the weekend - little rain but plenty of wind and cold both days. We had 4 participants for both days - many thanks to Terry, Michael, Denis, Gary, Kim (a shack owner from Lake Crescent) and to IFS for the use of a boat and accommodation at Liawenee.We destroyed squillions of plants however as all would agree, these represented just the "tip of the iceberg". We should be under no illusions that this is just a small problem - it is huge and one which will require ongoing attention for a considerable number of years. However, we had a crack and in doing so, showed that AAT is prepared to contribute to the management of our "recreational patch".
